I Was Not OK!

This was so hard to admit. I fumbled and dealt with these feelings for months until I finally had the courage to accept it. If you follow me on social media www.instagram.com/pushermovement or www.facebook.com/pusher4you you’d notice that my last post was on January 15th, 2021 (until recently). Behind the scenes was a woman filled with so many mixed emotions mentally that it felt like my head was spinning, but when it came to showing up, I did it with no hesitation and many had no clue. As a result, I needed time to step away from my business and social media platforms to focus on my mental health. So, now I am finally getting back into the swing of things. I want to publicly normalize that it is OK to not be ok! There is nothing wrong with you for having this feeling. The problem lies when you do not acknowledge those feelings by continuing to dismiss them. I can assure you it will only get better when you give it what it needs and embrace it. If we want to truly overcome something, we must allow ourselves to fully experience it. No emotion is permanent, and just as happiness and joy come and go, so does anger and sadness.

While admitting that you are not ok can be one of the hardest things to do, remember that you are not alone. Every single person on the face of this earth has something that triggers them, and when things get to a place where you can no longer deal and you are faced with giving up, tap into what I like to call your push circle. A push circle is a group of people that you trust and can confide in. They help to uplift and keep you grounded. They do not have to be spiritual however, it helps when they can intercede on your behalf. I would suggest having at least 2 people in your circle if you have more that’s great. You want to eliminate the possibility of someone not answering when you are in need. As always, seek God! I know at time you may feel as though you are alone and that he’s not there or listening but trust and have faith that he is. He’ll never put more on you than you can bear. Stay encouraged and connected to the vine, You GOT THIS!
